EminHodžić

Software Engineering student, C++ and Python

I study Software Engineering and Management at TU Graz and work as a working student at Siemens Mobility. I’ve built C++/Qt software that talks to real measurement hardware at AVL, Python automation tools at Siemens, and websites for small businesses through my own studio.

This whole portfolio also exists as a pit lane and a small circuit. Stop in front of a garage to open a project, or leave the pits and set a lap time.

Experience

  1. Oct 2025 – today, Graz

    Siemens Mobility Austria

    Working Student, Digitalisation & Automation

    • Built an Excel matching tool in Python (pandas, Tkinter) that reconciles material and order records: column normalisation, ordered duplicate matching, result previews and Excel export.
    • Built a Python tool (Tkinter, openpyxl) that consolidates many timesheets into project and worker views, with monthly and annual totals.
    • Built and debugged UiPath workflows for file selection, workbook handling and record matching, turning internal process requirements into automation tools.
  2. 2026 – today, Graz, remote

    Hodzic Studio

    Founder and web developer

    • Websites and web apps for small businesses, from the first call to launch. Clients so far: an advisory office in Graz and a consulting group in the Netherlands.
  3. Jul – Sep 2026, Graz

    Siemens Mobility Austria

    Software Development Intern

    • Worked on a CI/CD ticket to migrate Artifactory uploads to GitLab Runner and move the deployment logic into a reusable project (Windows, PowerShell).
  4. Aug – Sep 2025, Graz

    AVL DiTEST

    Software Development Intern, R&D

    • Built a C++/Qt desktop application for a gas analyser, connecting the physical device to measurement processing and visualisation.
    • Implemented QSerialPort communication and protocol parsing, replacing mocked responses with live device data, and integrated AES-256-CBC decryption of measurement payloads.
    • Tracked down rejected device commands by investigating the communication behaviour, then fixed command timing and instructions until the analyser communicated reliably.
    • Built QtCharts visualisations and responsive Qt widgets for measurements and user input.

Off the clock

Away from the keyboard it’s motorsport: Formula 1, especially the technology and race strategy, and sim racing in Assetto Corsa. That’s also why this site has a pit lane.
